Quintarelli, the star from Veneto/Negrar - 3 red glasses in
Gambero Rosso 2007
Must wines in Gambero Rosso, the largest italian wine guide, are simply unawarded - which does not mean that they can not be quite good.
Being awarded even one glass by Gambero Rosso is indeed hard enough. 2 glasses brings you
into the final of the wine tasting of that year.
Only about 1% of the wines are awarded the maximum: 3 glasses.
Giuseppe "Bepi" Quintarelli is one of the few, The way to reach this excellence? Patience, throughout decades. Eight years in barrel before bottling.
Gambero Rossi writes: "... a peerless, starry wine that won our tasting panes over unreservedly, and was awarded 3 resounding glasses."

Octoberfest in Bangkok with the original Hofbräuhaus Band!
Black forest went all the way to create the right athmosphere in Nam Kaeng Din, Bangkok. All the way from Munich
came the one and only genuine Hofbräuhaus band. With the famous Octoberfest bier and the weather being unusually
good for the season the fest was on!

Johannes Gebershuber Wines comes to Phuket
Weingut Spaetrot is a venture between famous wine makers Johanna and Johannes Gebeshuber and the Gumpoldskirchner wine-growers,
Austria's oldest co-op.
Weingut spaetrot-gebeshuber produces approximately one third of Gumpoldskirchens grape harvest employing the highest standards. The wine gardens are cultivated according to the highest quality guidelines, with great attention paid to the selection of ripe and healthy grapes.
As wine connaisseurs will know white wine can be made from red grapes. Spaetrot's Zierfandler is the most famous example.
With prices starting from only around 700 Baht/bottle it an excellent value-for-money, and something you should do
yourselv the favor of trying.

Dr. Loosen "best German producer"in Wine and Spirits Magazine
Wine and Sprits
Magazine is probably the leading US magazine, renowned for high standards
and the only
magazine twice
winning a James Beard Award for excellence in wine writing.
In the Fall 2007 issue Dr. Loosen was chosen as "Best German Producer" with
these words accompanying:
"Ernst Loosen's collection of ancient, ungrafted wines provides pure,
crystalline rieslings, remarkable transparent expressions of the Mosel's
most coveted wineyards".

Lenotti wins gold medal
Lenotti's Chiaretto Bardolino D.O.C. Classico 2006 wins Gold Medal in Councourse 2007, Italy.
The rose wine was in fact nominated as "the best" of more than 50 other wines from the same appellation.

Black Forest signs supplier agreement with Elena Walch
We quote from Italian Wines 2007, Italy's largest wine guide:
"Winning Tree Glasses in Alto Adige has become quite a task as more and more good wines and aggressive new wineries appear on the market.
Earning two top awards happens 'once in a blue moon'.
With her distinctive class the energetic owner of this beautiful estate, Elena Walch, has this year joined the exclusive double winner class."
Black Forest hope to be able to deliver wines from Elena Walsh within the next few months. An announcement will made.
